Members may request to close a certificate by calling 407.835.3500, using secure email or visiting a branch location. A member service representative will walk you through the process.
If members close a certificate at the end of a term, they can choose to open a new certificate, transfer funds to another account or "cash out" the certificate.
Please note a penalty will be assessed if you withdraw any of the principal balance in your account or close your account before the maturity date. The amount of the early withdrawal penalty is based on the term of the account. Additionally, if the certificate is an IRA certificate, the IRS may assess a penalty as well.
